Money Doctor Izzy Inc. is a learning portal designed to help young adults seeking life-changing personal finance education and coaching that gets them winning with their money do so easily! Created by the founder and CEO Dr. Izuhunwa Amadasun, popularly called “Money Doctor Izzy”, a fiery Financial Coach and Certified Financial Education Instructor from Nigeria.
She took her drive for financial literacy promotion to another level by becoming a Personal Finance Coach and Educator who uses her blog and social media platforms to educate young adults about the importance of financial security, and how to attain it via the adoption of the right money mindset and best practices for managing their money.
She understands firsthand how easy it is to make mistakes with money and suffer unpleasant consequences. In her words, “I shake my head thinking about how much I did not know about money, and how this realisation hit me well, only after my tertiary education. I discovered much later than I would have liked, that I only knew how to earn a salary and spend it! Not saving enough, and definitely not growing it in smart investments. Simply put, I lost a good amount of money because I was not financially literate!!!!!! This is why I am super passionate about helping others like me get the education they need to manage their money better and shorten their learning curve, so they can boast of financial stability and security at a young age!”
We barely (if at all), get taught the important things about money in our schools and homes growing up, and end up making several mistakes and learning at the University of Hard Knocks. Izuhunwa knows this is a big problem and is contributing her quota to address this issue through adequate personal finance education. Closing the huge gap that exists in financial literacy means young people would make fewer mistakes and get good at handling money.
She offers both one-on-one and group coaching and consultation services for those who want to stop making mistakes with their money and cultivate better habits to achieve the financial security and life goals they want.
Besides what she does in the financial education space, she is also a Medical Doctor, Healthcare Entrepreneur, published Author, and Speaker who loves to make a positive impact in the world. It’s no surprise that she makes a lot of health analogies and references when talking about money. She is described by the people around her as a real go-getter and problem-solver who displays great dedication, tenacity, and innovation in her affairs.
She is very passionate about empowering people to have optimum health. Having battled with stage 4 cancer and won, she understands in a unique way the burden of illness, the importance of being proactive with one’s health, and the value of speaking up when necessary.
She published her debut book titled ROOFTOP: My Struggles and Triumph Over Stage 4 Cancer, where she chronicles her experiences in full detail in the hope that others would find comfort, draw strength from, and better understand what a battle with cancer is really like. She is an advocate and volunteer who helps to propagate the work of various cancer awareness and support groups.
Izuhunwa has vast hobbies and interests. She loves engaging in travel and adventure, art, Latin dancing, fitness activities, cooking, eating good food, watching sports (especially football), reading, and of course writing and creating content.
